Overview

Jobhound is an AI-boosted job board and ATS created for Maltese employers and job-seekers. It couples a super easy posting flow with an Excel-simple applicant-tracking workspace, adds data-driven matching, and layers on optional “boost” automations that push hard-to-fill roles across social, LinkedIn and our media partners. One of those partners is Times of Malta—a distribution channel, not the headline act.

 

I have been Jobhound’s Founding CTPO (Chief Technology & Product Officer) from day zero: shaping the concept, building the platform, shipping weekly, and building high performing dev/delivery and product teams without burning them out — or the budget.

  • Founder-level ownership. Dictated product vision, tech strategy and commercial model; held the P&L and reported straight to the board.
  • Hands-on architect. Sketched the multi-cloud micro-service design, coded the first working prototype and built the AI ranking engine that drives matching.
  • Growth designer. Invented the credit economy and “Boost” revenue line, brokered the Times of Malta media deal and other syndication channels, doubling MRR every quarter in year one (internal data).
  • Team builder & culture setter. Hired and mentored delivery and product teams; introduced data-driven OKRs and agile rituals that kept attrition below 5%.
  • Security & compliance owner. Led ISO/IEC 27001 certification and GDPR readiness; implemented SSO, 2-FA, field-level encryption and automated DPA workflows.
  • Operational scaler. Cut infrastructure spend ~40 % via autoscalers, spot instances, complex optimization approach, rolled out zero-downtime deployments and kept uptime at 99.98 %.
  • Investor/partner/stakeholder liaison. Produced technical due-diligence packs, pitched roadmap in funding rounds and negotiated deep integrations with enterprise customers.
  • Voice of the customer. Embedded analytics, ran quarterly discovery sprints and pushed NPS past 60 while doubling feature-adoption rates.
